Little Drops of Water. ささやかなる。
Julia Carney (1823-1908) ジュリア・カーニー (1823年-1908年 ) wrote the hymn Little Drops of Water that became worldwide very popular. It was adapted into a Japanese hymn and included in the hymnal Sambika. Sadao Watanabe made a series of stencil prints about that hymn. The prints are undated but made in 1953 (note). The prints are on washi sized 46 x 34 cm, 18 x 13 inches.

1．ささやかなる しずくすら、ながれゆけば 海となる 海となる。
2．こまやかなる まさごすら、つもりぬれば 山となる 山となる。
3．あだにすごす つかのまも、わがいのちの 一節なり 一節なり。
4．かりそめなる あやまちも、ほろびにいる 門ぞかし 門ぞかし。
5．あいのちさき わざすらも、地をば神の 国となさん 国となさん。

Little Drops of Water
Little drops of water, little grains of sand,
make the mighty ocean and the beauteous land.
And the little moments, humble though they may be,
make the mighty ages of eternity.
Little deeds of kindness, little words of love,
make our earth an Eden, like the heaven above.
So our little errors lead the soul away,
from the paths of virtue into sin to stray.
Little seeds of mercy sown by youthful hands,
grow to bless the nations far in heathen lands.
Glory then for ever be to God on high,
beautiful and loving, to eternity.
